Roxbury principals and personnel played instrumental roles in the development and leasing of One Kennedy Square – Downtown Detroit’s first new multi-tenant Class A office building to be constructed in nearly 15 years. In collaboration with the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation to identify the site, Stacy and David conceived of the idea for the building as a catalyst for attracting suburban businesses to the heart of the City. In spearheading this effort, their team selected the build-to-suit developer for the project, led the effort to create a compelling economic case for tenants, negotiated a critical parking deal with the City, obtained Brownfield redevelopment tax credits for the project, and attracted key tenants to the site. The result was not only a welcome addition to the growing Campus Martius district, but the attraction of nearly 500 employees to the heart of the City from Troy, Southfield, Bloomfield Hills and other suburban locations.
